Tessa Adams is originally from South Sioux City, Nebraska. She has taught English 10 and speech at Millard South for 3 years. She came here after teaching two years in the small town of Pierce, Nebraska where she taught English 7 and 11 and was the One Act Play director. Prior to Pierce, she earned her teaching degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she studied English, speech and drama. Lately, she has been busy exploring life with her son Caelan Scott Adams who was born in July of 2005. She also attends the University of Nebraska-Omaha where she is working on her Master’s in reading. |
| Suzie Antoniak | saantoniak@mpsomaha.org | Mrs. Antoniak is in her ninth year of teaching, eighth year at Millard South High School. She is a graduate of College of Saint Mary with a B.A.. in English/Language Arts, and an M.A. in Educational Administration. Currently, Mrs. Antoniak is serving as English department chair and is teaching basic English 10 and Honors English 10. She joined the MSHS English department after teaching for one year at Russell Middle School. Mrs. Antoniak also participates on many building and district committees such as strategic planning, She also teaches night school at the Millard Learning Center, spent a semester as an intern assistant principal and is a graduate of the Millard Leadership Academy. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, including her 3 children: Tyler, Trevor, and her newest addition Madeline. Mrs. Antoniak also enjoys playing volleyball and running. |
| Robyn Baker | rrbaker@mpsomaha.org | California native, Mrs. Baker has been teaching at Millard South for ten years. She has been named the 2003 Outstanding Teacher for Theatre by the Omaha Chamber of Commerce and Arts On The Green, the 1999 Nebraska Theatre Teacher of the Year by the Educational Theatre Association, and the Secondary Teacher of the Year in 2000 by the Millard Education Foundation. She is the President of the Nebraska Chapter of the Educational Theatre AssociationDrama Honorary that Recognizes outstanding high school theatre students. She has a Bachelors degree in both Theatre and Secondary Education and a Masters Degree in Theatre Curriculum and Instruction. She taught for six years at the Omaha Theatre Company for Young People, where she was also on staff as an actor and costumer. In the summer, Mrs. Baker works in the film industry as a costumer. She has met or worked with many actors over the years such as: Jessica Lange, Sam Sheppard, Anne Heche, Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze, Swoozie Kurtz, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, John Travolta, Sean Penn, and Robin Wright. Her theatre Department has won 3 NSAA State Chapionships in One Act in the past 8 years. She loves teaching at Millard South, her husband Rob, and new son Robby! |
| Natalie Bieber | nbieber@mpsomaha.org | A western Nebraska native, Natalie Bieber joined the MSH staff in 2002. Ms. Bieber earned her Bachelor's degree at Doane College and completed her Master's in 2005. At MSH Ms. Bieber teaches Basic English 9 and English 11. She is the sponsor of the MSHS National Honor Society. In her free-time she is a self-proclaimed shop-a-holic, loves reading, music, traveling, and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. She also devotes much of her free time working with non-profit organizations such as CISV and Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership. |

Mr. Denson is Millard South's reading specialist. He has been at Millard South for seventeen years and serves as the head wrestling coach as well as a freshman football coach. During the past six years the wrestling team has been state champions four years and runner-up two years; he has had several individual state champions as well, including his son Aaron Denson who was a three time state champion. His younger son, Morgan who was a two time state champion. Both Morgan and Aaron wrestle for UNO; Morgan is a redshirt this year and Aaron is a returning 2x All American. Daughter, Katie (a MSHS grad) works for Triple A Auto; Daughter, Hayley, is in seventh grade at Andersen; and recently adopted, Hannah, will be in second grade at Neihardt. Mr. Denson attended high school at David City Aquinas, received his undergraduate degree in English/Language Arts at Midland, and completed his graduate work at Kearney/UNO in Reading. He enjoys reading and riding both his bicycle and motorcycle during his free time. |

Mrs. Glab is in her 13th year at Millard South. She joined the Millard South staff in the Fall of 1997 as a half-time English 11 teacher. She currently teaches English 11, College Prep Grammar and Reading, and Shakespeare. She received her B.A. from the College of St. Mary, Omaha, NE and her Master in Education from Doane College, Crete, NE. She is endorsed in Language Arts, Social Studies, and Natural Sciences. Prior to beginning her teaching career, Mrs. Glab worked for 31 years as a manager for US West Communications. After accepting an early retirement offer, she finished her degree and started teaching. Mrs. Glab enjoys spending time visiting with her family especially her grandchildren, Luke in Iowa, Kaitlyn and Tyler in Texas, Jimmy in Denver and Carter in Omaha. She is especially looking forward to Carter’s brother or sister due in March 2010. She also enjoys reading, painting ceramics, and going to Florida with her husband, Joe. |
| Christine Kaldahl | ckaldahl@mpsomaha.org | Mrs. Kaldahl joined the Millard South staff in 1997. She received her undergraduate degree in journalism at the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1991 and her Master's in English from UNO in Dec. 2001. Currently Mrs. Kaldahl teaches Newspaper, Yearbook, Beginning Journalism, and AP Language & Composition. She has also taught English 10, Mass Media and Speech. In 2001, Mrs. Kaldahl received National Board Certification in journalism and is the only Nebraska teacher to have earned certification in that area. In her free time, she enjoys performing in community theatre productions and spending time with her husband and daughters Vivian and Molly. |
| Steve Kerkman | skerkman@mpsomaha.org | Mr. Kerkman has been teaching for seventeen years, including eleven yearshere at Millard South. Currently, he teaches English 11 and ResearchMethods, but has taught courses such as: Creative Writing, 8th GradeLanguage Arts, English 9, English 10, English 12, and Psychology. Priorto teaching here, Mr. Kerkman taught in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Hegraduated from UNL in 1992 with degrees in English and Psychology. Mr.Kerkman finished his Masters at UNO in December 2000. In 2005, he wasnamed Nebraska Softball Coach of the Year as he led the MSHS girls'softball team to a state championship. He also serves as the juniorvarsity baseball coach, winning a state championship in the summer of2001. In his spare time, Mr. Kerkman enjoys both playing and watchingsports, but most importantly he enjoys spending time with his wife andhis three daughters. |
| Cindy Killip | ckillip@mpsomaha.org | Cindy Killip, a graduate of Iowa State University in French and English, joined the Millard South staff in 2002 as a full-time teacher. Prior to 2002, she was employed by Millard as a substitute teacher and has spent a great deal of time at Millard South where she finds great students and staff. Her connections with Millard South do not end there, however. All four of her daughters have attended Millard South. Three have graduated and gone on to college and one is currently a senior. Her favorite leisure activities include dining out at Omaha's vast array of restaurants, trying new recipes at home, reading, and listening to music. |
| Sarah Martin | semartin@mpsomaha.org | Mrs. Martin began teaching at Millard South in 2004 after completing her student teaching experiences at Millard West and Kiewit Middle School. She is a graduate of Nebraska Weslyan University where she earned degrees in English and social studies, and she earned her teaching credentials at the College of Saint Mary. Prior to coming to Millard South, Mrs. Martin worked in the corporate world in human resources. She is currently teaching English 9, English 10, and Career English, as well as sponsoring Diversity Club. She is the proud mother of two very sweet little girls, Ellie and Brynn. When away from school she spends her free time playing with the girls and hanging out with her husband, T.J., who is a teacher and football coach at Millard South. |
| Katie McGinness | klmcginness@mpsomaha.org | Ms. McGinness is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. While in Lincoln, Ms. McGinness attended the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. She recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. Her endorsement areas are English 7-12 and English as a Secondary Language K-12. Ms. McGinness is looking forward to teaching English 9 and 10 at Millard South. When Ms. McGinness is not doing school work she enjoys going to concerts, dancing, and going on bike rides. |

Ms. Prochaska joined MSHS in 2004. She graduated from the University of Nebraska - Kearney in May 2004, earning a BAE with emphasis in English, Speech, and Theatre and in May 2008 with her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College. She currently teaches English 9, Speech, and British Literature. Ms. Prochaska is co-sponsor of the 40 Developmental Assets Club. When she's not in school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and her cat, Romeo. Ms. Prochaska also enjoys traveling, reading, and watching movies. |
| Amber Suhr | adsuhr@mpsomaha.org | Mrs. Suhr has been a teacher at Millard South since 2005. She teaches AP Language, AP Literature, and sometimes other classes, depending on where she's needed. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching students grow into critical thinkers through interesting writing projects, reading assignments and communication strategies. She's been married since 2000, and in 2009, she and her husband welcomed their daughter Jain into the family. She used to have many outside interests, but since Jain was born, she only has enough spare time to keep up with her yoga practice. |
| Vickie Weidenhamer | vweidenh@mpsomaha.org | Mrs. Weidenhamer, a Millard South graduate, has been teaching at Millard South since 1990, where she started as Ms. Pettit. She received her B.S. in Secondary Education, a B.A. in German and English, and an M.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She also has over 36 graduate credit hours in various areas. Mrs. Weidenhamer teaches English 9, World Literature, and Composition and Literature. She has also taught English 10, C.P. Composition, Mass Media, Career English, Speech, German I and German II. She balances her life as a teacher and mother of two with being a volunteer leader with the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Outdoor Venture Center, the National Ski Patrol, and Girl Scouts. She has numerous hobbies, which include: canoeing, backpacking, cross country and downhill skiing, and camping. |

Mrs. Wollman is an English teacher who knows Millard very well. Since moving to Omaha from Colorado in 1990, she has taught at each of the district's high schools. Transferring to MSHS in 2003, she has taught English 9, Honors English 9, English 10, and English 11. Mrs. Wollman attended the University of Sioux Falls where she earned her B.A. in English, and then she attended Adam's State College in Alamosa Colorado where she earned her Master's. Before joining the Millard district, Mrs. Wollman taught in South Dakota, Wyoming and Colorado. Currently her family spends a lot of time at Millard South watching Mrs. Wollman's, daughter, Carissa, participate in numerous school activities. Her younger daughter, Carly, who is also active in several student activities, attends Central Middle School and looks forward to attending MSHS next year. Mrs. Wollman also enjoys spending time with her cat, Chloe, although Chloe spends most of her time waiting for Carissa to return home. |
